The Defense Ministry and External Affairs Ministry declined to comment on this missile deal. Indonesia’s Defense Ministry did not comment on this.
Recently, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh had said that in the last decade, defense related exports have increased from about Rs 2,000 crore to Rs 21,000 crore. Singh had said that the target is to increase defense related exports to about Rs 50,000 crore by 2029. He said that Army Training Centers are playing an important role in preparing soldiers for future challenges. Singh said that there have been major changes in the methods of war. This includes information, artificial intelligence, electromagnetic and cyber attacks. He said that the army needs to be equipped with better training as well as equipment to counter such attacks.
