Infinix has launched its new mid-range smartphone, the Infinix Zero 40 5G, in India. This phone was first revealed in select countries in August, alongside the 4G version, but now it’s ready to hit the Indian market. It’s the first phone from Infinix to feature their new AI technology. Powered by a MediaTek Dimensity chipset, it also boasts a triple rear camera system and even has a GoPro mode for action enthusiasts.
For pricing, the Infinix Zero 40 5G starts at Rs 27,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model, while the 12GB + 512GB variant is priced at Rs 30,000. You can get the phone in three attractive colors: Rock Black, Moving Titanium, and Violet Garden, with sales starting on September 21.

- Display: The phone features a 6.78-inch full-HD+ curved AMOLED screen with a high 144Hz refresh rate. It also has a peak brightness of 1,300 nits and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for extra durability.
- Performance: The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultimate SoC and comes with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. It runs on XOS 14.5, based on Android 14.
- Build: It’s designed to resist dust and splashes with an IP54 rating, and it’s fairly slim, measuring just 7.9mm thick and weighing 195g. The phone also features twin Hi-Res DTS speakers and an in-display fingerprint sensor for security.
Camera and GoPro Mode
The triple rear camera system includes a 108MP primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, there’s a 50MP front camera, and both front and rear cameras can shoot 4K video at 60 fps. A standout feature is the GoPro mode, which allows users to connect and control a GoPro from their phone using the GoPro Quik app.
Battery and Charging
The phone has a 5,000mAh battery and supports 45W wired fast charging along with 20W wireless charging. It also comes with support for 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, NFC, Bluetooth, and USB Type-C.
